Camp Billy Johnson is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee. Well into our third decade, we provide a free summer camp experience to children ages 7 to 11 who cannot normally afford to go to summer camp. Our campers come from predominantly urban areas of Knoxville and Chattanooga.
Camp Billy Johnson focuses on one-on-one attention for every camper. Our camp is staffed by high-school youth (rising sophomores through rising college freshmen) from around the diocese, as well as clergy and lay adults. Our goal each year is 20 campers (10 male, 10 female) and 20 youth staff (10 male, 10 female).
